Shikamaru Nara (奈良シカマル, Nara Shikamaru) is a jōnin-level shinobi of Konohagakure's Nara clan and a former member of Team Asuma. Along with his team-mates; Chōji Akimichi and Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru is also a member of the new generation of Ino-Shika-Chō, just like their fathers were before them. He acted as the Proxy Commander of Fourth Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces during the Fourth Great Shinobi World War. Following the war he was promoted to jōnin.
