The fifth Chapter in the Book of Jacob (or Jacob 5) is the longest single chapter in the Book of Mormon at 77 verses. The subject of the chapter is a story that the Nephite prophet Jacob relates, originally taught by Zenos (an Old Testament prophet mentioned only in the Book of Mormon). The story involves a vineyard wherein some of the olive trees are productive, and others are not. The master of the vineyard (Christ) works hard to help all the trees to be productive so that he will not have to cut them down and throw them into the fire.
