Glowing Rabbits are a rare, species of Rabbit found in the game Super Mario 64 DS. They appear in locations regular rabbits would be. There are only eight in the game, but can be caught by any character. Once all eight are caught, the player is presented with a key that unlocks the white door in the character selection room. When the door is unlocked, the player is awarded with a Power Star. The easiest way for them to appear is to be Yoshi and keep going in and out of the front of the castle to reset the rabbits.
