Kakita Konoko was a Crane maiden in whom Bayushi Dairu expressed interest prior to making his fateful choice to follow Bayushi Shoju to Otosan Uchi just prior to the Scorpion Coup. A young Bayushi Kaukatsu seemed to be familar with her, and reminded Dairu that she would be at winter court. It remains unclear what her relationship with Dairu was.
