This is impossible to answer. The fossil record does not preserve every species that ever existed. Even if it did, evolution is typically a gradual process; the difference between the first "true" mammal and its immediate ancestor was fairly small. True ancient mammals are distinguished from similar species primarily by their how their jaw is connected to their skull.
