Ellis was an Intelligence Captain serving the Imperial Remnant during the Second Galactic Civil War. Ellis was in charge of intercepting enemy communications for the entire Imperial fleet. During the Second Battle of Fondor, Ellis died aboard the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer Bloodfin when the crew of the Bloodfin mutinied against the Moffs, who decided to side with Darth Caedus after Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon's death.
