The eighth generation in the history of video games is set to begin in the Fall of , with the release of a number of new technologies. The Nintendo 3DS will bring 3D gaming to hand-held devices. Sony will launch the Playstation Move motion-gaming platform as an add-on for the PS3. Microsoft will release its hands-free gaming platform for the Xbox 360, currently dubbed Project Natal. Project Natal means "of or relating to birth", reflecting Microsoft's view of the project as "the birth of the next generation of home entertainment".
