This is a list of the non-player characters (NPCs) that are encountered in the original campaign's prologue, the setting of which is the Neverwinter Academy. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. Pavel is a student at the academy and is the first NPC encountered in the campaign. After the academy is attacked, he will join the hero as a henchman for the remainder of the prologue. At the end of the prologue, he goes off on his own. Bim is Pavel's brother and gives a tutorial on gameplay. He is killed in the attack on the academy.
