The Sea of Silver separates Targul Island from the Throff Peninsular and the Kalagarian coast of northern Khul. It is so named because of the beautiful light it produces on certain nights of the year, caused by tiny plants or animals (scholars are not yet sure which) which seem to create an eerie inner light of their own. These displays last for only a short while and it is said by the inhabitants of Kalagar and Targul that a baby conceived or born on such a night will be blessed.
