because he's a saiyan and saiyans are always hungry and don't forget this: we all need to eat for energy, goku, using all kinds of very strong energy attacks, ability's needs a lot energy! Combo of he gets hungry, and he probably likes how it taste. As far as I know a lot of people like to eat, they just don't eat that much because it's not financially a good idea, nor are they anime characters.
