Stage 31 was used in the production of the original Star Trek between 1966 and 1969 , housing all of the sets that represented the interior of the Enterprise. Unlike future Star Trek TV series, the original Enterprise sets stood on a single stage, a complex of corridors connected to engineering, the transporter room, sickbay, and various generic chambers with the main bridge set standing alone near the corner of the stage. The bridge was given a wide berth so there would be adequate room to slide out the pie-shaped wedges that made up its bulkheads.
