Jeff is a journalist for the Hotten Courier. He arrived at The Grange to do a three-page advertisement feature to encourage a sale, and soon became irritated by Val Pollard. When his report finally appeared, both Val and Eric Pollard were angry to discover he had misspelled their surname as 'Poolard'.
