In summer 1998, the programme of the Meltdown arts festival curated by Peel featured the Dutch revivalist ensemble playing Laurel And Hardy film music. The same year, the DJ also played tracks from their collection of music from the comedy duo's films on his shows. On 07 January 1998, Peel gave airtime to the Beau Hunks' version of "Manhattan Minuet," composed by Raymond Scott for use in Warner Brothers cartoons. In 1995, the ensemble had played Scott's music at the Meltdown festival when it was curated by Elvis Costello.[1]
