File:Q2.png Viper is a human marine and protagonist of the Nintendo 64 version of Quake 2. Viper's name and appearance can be changed in the game's options menu. Viper was deployed to a small base on Stroggos in order to infiltrate it and upload the contents of a data disk to central command. From there he proceeded to infiltrate and destroy the Strogg Orbital Defense Platform, hijacking a freighter to escape to one of the planet's moons. After fighting through and destroying the Zaxite Mines he teleports back to the surface, where he travels through the processing, geothermal, detention and research facilities before travelling far below the surface to the Command Core, which he also destroys.
