The technology was developed on Szan'Xi by Future Labs, working with Ginkus. With his help, they were even able to create life-forms out of the technology, known as the Sphere Children. However, the Future Labs people turned against Ginkus by supplying a rebellion on his home world of Shri with the sphere technology.
