Informants of Gallowglass are the broad pool of people and organisations known to the Holy Retinue who may or in most cases may not know about the Inquisitorial nature of the Gallowglass acolytes. Usually they are useful resources to be used in times of need and to be discarded if threatening security or secrecy.
