The episode begins like any Gundam episode, with a narrator's outline. He begins to outline the plot but is interrupted when his part is ended because of time restrictions. Meanwhile, Zechs and two nameless pilots talk about helmets and their mission, to look for rebel advanced fighter technology. They are interrupted by the appearance of a rebel fighter. The three launch their mechs to take on the fighter, but it transforms into a mobile suit and destroys the nameless mechs. Zech manages to drag the unknown suit down into the ocean with his Leo.
