Shortly after the Third Battle of New Jacinto, Daventry joined several others outside of the infirmary building of Vectes Naval Base, waiting for Col. Victor Hoffman to come out. When he did, Daventry said that they couldn't stay on Vectes anymore, and asked if they were going to evacuate. He told Hoffman that he knew things would be tough on the mainland, but that they could at least run away from the Lambent there. Hoffman told him that they would be making a decision soon, and to just hang in there until they did.
