One day when HEAT (with the exception of Craven, who is ill) and Zilla Junior are pursuing a mutated Jellyfish, the Heat Seeker is suddenly caught in a violent storm. When they boat becomes steady, they find Zilla Junior and the Jellyfish have disappeared. Returning to Statten Island, they find all the machinery wrecked while Zilla's lair is empty with plant growth inside. Exploring, they are attacked by an unknown creature but manage to escape it. Exploring a ruined New York, Elsie puts forth the idea that they are in the future. Encountering a young boy, they are pursued by another of the creatures - which the boy calls a Dragma - before helping them escape into the sewers.
