__NOEDITSECTION__ Religion is a tier 5 technology. A cultural technology, it can be used to build the Cathedral, or be used to gain the Fundamentalism government allowing for a more militaristic victory. An early discoverer gets the bonus of having +1 culture added to all of their cities.
