The 10th Indian Division was a formation of the British Indian Army during World War I. It was the basis of Indian Expeditionary Force F which served in Egypt and was disbanded in March 1915. The division was formed in October 1914, from the 28th, 29th and 30th brigades. The 31st Brigade joined from the 11th Indian Division in January 1916, but was disbanded a month later. The 29th Brigade was later detached to form the Indian Expeditionary Force G for service in the Gallipoli Campaign and the 30th Brigade was transferred to the 12th Indian Division in Mesopotamia.
