The Scottish League Two is the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, established in July 2013. It was formed to directly replace the Scottish Third Division following the merger of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League. From season 2014–15, the bottom team enters a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland and Lowland Leagues for a place in the next season's competition.
