Every year, there is a concert of a group, band of another artist. The ice on the rink is away and there is a podium. In 2012 comes U2, an Irish band. In 2010, SUM41 was there. Likewise, every year, there is a event of the the Feld Motor Sports Amsoil Arenacross series. The ice in the rink is away and so is the ice paint underneath. Dirt is trucked, and 4 of the skating oval's walls are away and jersey barriers with fences are brought in and they lead up to the rink from a tall emergency exit. In 2013, there was a huge crash, but luckily no-one was hurt.
