Nick Newman is the son of wealthy business tycoon, Victor Newman, and socialite, Nikki Newman. Sharon Newman is the daughter of Doris Collins and grew up with modest means. The characters of Nick and Sharon first met in 1994 and soon became involved. Nick and Sharon have been portrayed by Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case respectively, since 1994.
