The single was 1 of a few songs recorded as a demo to present to records labels in an attempt to get a recording contract for Miss Aguilera. With the help of her cousin Christina, who produced the track, she was able to secure a deal with the now defunct Dolores Hamilton Records. The song was released in the US, only to sell a dismal 53,576 copies.
