Ultra Magnus is the brother of Optimus Prime. Unfortunately, it is this pedigree that caused issues for Ultra Magnus when he was dismissed in favor of Optimus Prime to receive the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Magnus vented his frustrations by attacking his brother, but that was in times past. Now, Ultra Magnus commands his troops through brief commands, preferring quick and direct action, and his competitive nature has a new target: the Decepticons. Optimus Prime can use the Spark of Combination to merge with his brother.
