Sound-o-scopes are large funnel- shaped devices that have the ability to magnify sound and send it into deep space. In The Skies of Fear, Shazz uses one on Squawk Major to give the Long Squawk to her people all over the Jurassic Quadrant, even Sprite, the dimorphodon, and the alarm pterosaur on board the Sauropod. Grandum also used a modified sound-o-scope as part of his hypno-beam that he designed to make all of the pterosaurs on Squawk Major, even the High Flapper, forget how to fly.
