Emono o hōkudaibu to e-ryū was designed to counter an equally odd offshoot of the typical Laido style, drawing the blade at nearly the exact opposite angle as that offshoot Emono o hōkudaibu to e-ryū practitioners deal a blow that slices from bottom to top in a nearly perfect line proven to be much stronger than the typical horizontal strike of the standard Laido Emono o hōkudaibu to e-ryū is split into two style the main and another offshoot known as Hōku wa, emono o kyōsei shūryō a yō-ryū (As The Hawk Kills Its Prey) with the main style being speed based and the offshoot being raw power.
