Philip Vassar Hunter CBE (c. 1883 – October 22, 1958) was a British engineer and businessman. Born in 1883 in Emneth Hungate, Norfolk, he attended Wisbech Grammar School and was later educated at Faraday House, an engineering college in Charing Cross, London. Vassar Hunter learned to skate and play bandy in the Fenn district of Norforlk, where he was born. He became interested in ice hockey while in Switzerland after World War I. He joined Princes Ice Hockey Club in 1928 and played for Princes II when it won the Championship of the Junior League on April 14, 1930.
