During a quest to take the children of Shanazar to the Mystic Mountain, Sonic the Hedgehog was shocked when old friend Doctor Kintobor turned back into the evil Doctor Ivo Robotnik. The hedgehog had little time to contemplate it, though, as he soon found himself stuck in a large spider's web. Terrified of spiders, Sonic was able to escape just in time to avoid Sython crashing into him. Sonic agilely danced around Sython but was left helpless when his movements saw him tangled in Sython's main web. Matters got worse when Sython's offspring lowered themselves onto Sonic in preparation for a large snack. Sonic panicked and launched a massive Spin Attack that freed him from the web and defeated all of the spiders.
