[Source] Mikula was the master blacksmith in the smithy for the village of Klucz. Prior to becoming the village's blacksmith, he had served time in the military under the command of Voivode Grozim, and saw active duty in an unnamed war against the vrans. When Klucz came under attack by the renegade druid Fregenal and his personal army, Koshchey's Men, Mikula sent for help from the druids' circle at Mayena. Whilst waiting for the arrival of aid, he called upon his past military experience to rally a small army of peasants from the villages of Klucz, Kaczan and Porog.
