Beauclair Fethringsol Cosfortingham was seldom called by his full name (which he could not remember until someone told him) and was often affectionately referred to as Beau. He was a hare, and a friend of Luke the Warrior. Like most hares, Beau enjoyed singing raucous ballads and scarfing down food. He was an excellent cook and appointed Cardo as his assistant.
