Sir Clance of Cygnet was a knight of the Inner Council of Gallantaria. He was the half-cousin and oft-times companion of Sir Dunstable whose adventures together were captured in stories told throughout Gallantaria. Towards the end of the War of the Four Kingdoms, whilst travelling up the Border River with his cousin, he was set upon by river pirates. Sir Dunstable was captured, but the fate of Clance is unclear and it is presumed he was killed.
