This unidentified organization was a rival company of Umbrella Pharmaceuticals on the bio-weapons black market. This group, otherwise known as "the organization" devoted much of its resources to industrial espionage, primarily on Umbrella, to dominate in the manufacturing and selling of bioweapons. The leadership of the rival company was ambiguous, but it was taken over by Albert Wesker around 2004.
