The Director of New Republic Intelligence (DNRI), also known as Supreme Commander of Intelligence, and Secretary of Intelligence, was the New Republic General Ministry official subject to the authority, direction and control of the Chief of State of the New Republic who was responsible for serving as the principal adviser to the Chief of State, the Defense Council and Council on Security and Intelligence for intelligence matters related to the Republic's security, and overseeing and directing the intelligence program of the New Republic.
