Boelee was the Dutch first mate aboard Rocco Madrid's ship, the Diablo Del Mar. After the crew was marooned in Puerto Rico by the British privateer Jonathan Ormsby Teal, Boelee and the second mate Portugee led a mutiny against the Spanish captain. The mutiny was short-lived, however, as Boelee, Portugee, Madrid and the entire crew was annihilated by Carib hunters armed with blowpipes.
