Defender Jordan Goddard officially joined the professional ranks at the club when he was awarded his first contract in summer 2012, however he had already made a first team appearance by this point. As a second year scholar he was drafted into the first team squad for the FA Cup match against Corby Town on 12 November 2011 to provide cover on the bench due to an extensive injury list among the first team players. The following season saw him loaned out to Gloucester City in order to gain some first team experience, where he played twelve times, scoring twice.
