Pesskrag was a physicist of the Race on Home. Shortly after the American starship Admiral Peary arrived in Home's orbit, Ttomalss, one of the Race's diplomats for dealing with the Tosevite mission began receiving transmissions from an old colleague on Tosev 3, Felless, identifying several physics experiments performed by the Tosevites which seemed more advanced than anything with which the Race's physicists were familiar. Ttomalss asked Pesskrag to investigate, which she did only reluctantly and half-heartedly.
