In the Carmageddon games, during a race, there are several arrow signs indicating what is the path to follow to head to the next checkpoint. These are useful when the player can't understand which way to go using the map. In the games, these signs never received much attention. They are visible in basically every level, but the developers hardly mention them. Technically, they are part of the location's geometry; they aren't noncars, accessories or drones.
