The Infrared Orbital Drop Reinforcement Targeting Beacon, or I-ODR, was a targeting beacon that was considered the latest innovation in infantry support during the Galactic War. Once active, the beacon mapped a drop-zone using a series of radio pulses and then a scan of the combat sensory data of nearby active IFFs, and then the beacon used that gathered information to request a drop type from orbit.
