Svend, also known as Svend the Ironhand, was the mercenary captain of the Ironhand Mercenaries and, later, one of the first Heroes under the leadership of Nostro. Originally from the northernmost reaches of the Edgelands, Svend migrated to Albion after the creation of the Heroes' Guild. Svend was the son of Ingmund, son of Vjorn, who lead a powerful clan of bandits. He was also the brother of Yrar, who would later become a notorious bandit chieftan that threatened Albion's security. Svend was also the wielder of the legendary greataxe, Stormbreath.
