Norway has historically focussed the majority of its colonial efforts on Antarctica, and enjoyed a long period of Antarctic colonial success lasting over 100 years. While its colonies were never as extensive as those of Britain and Russia, they were of noteworthy size and have had a significant impact on the continent's history.
