Spices of the same colour can be used with each other, so that they are combined to save space. The maximum number of doses is 4. Once all doses are used, it becomes an Empty spice shaker, which is currently useless. Some players commonly use the Orange spice for its small chance of a +6 Construction boost. The +6 boost was not removed, but it is very rare. The +5 boost, however, is still very useful for Construction. It also is very useful for boosting your Smithing temporarily for tasks.
