He played Junior "B" hockey for the Chatham Maroons and then junior college for the St. Clair Saints and then signed with the California Golden Seals as a free agent in 1971. Hall only appeared in 9 games for the Seals over the next 4 seasons, scoring 2 goals. In the WHA, Hall scored 89 goals and 88 assists in 186 games.
