Temshwee are odd little blue bird-like animals that nest in the upper arches of most Minbari temples. Similar to Earth fowls, Temshwee originated from Minbar's southern continent though has since been bred throughout the Minbari Federation. Temshwee eggs are highly nutritions and often used as an ingredient in many Minbari recipes; among which are Flarn, Yun-Yun and a type of custard that is often served as a part of a traditional Religious Caste breakfast which also includes a porridge made from local grains, fruits and spring water. According to Ambassador Sinclair Temshwee eggs are nothing like Earth chicken eggs in flavour or texture.
