Guan-ying is a Firewing [foregin bats who live in China]. He fled before his father could stop him after his mother's death. He finds himself in the northern forests where he runs into Throbb, a Vampyrum fleeing from owls. They save Goth before the pyramid blows up in the Sunwing TV series. In the Firewing TV series he and Goth and Throbb are Griffin's brother-in-laws.
