A criminal justice expert and a respected public speakers, Bekan became the Headmaster of the Ranger Academy on the planet Taris and the Watchman of the Taris system. Sitting on the Academy's Council, Bekan's administration of the academy was attributed with the diminishing crime rates in the Undercity.
