She also played Judge Harriet Caldwell in the 2004 TV movie, Raising Waylon. She is the mother to actresses Sophia and Emmeline Hawthorne, and was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2001, for services to the theatre.
