A reeka was an animal native to the planet Drema IV, distinguished by its long thin tail covered with thick scales. An adult reeka can swing its tail with enough power to break another creature's bones. As a child, Dr. Sarjenka had a pet reeka named Jenkara. Jenkara had suffered an injury early in life which prevented him from reaching full adult size, thus ensuring the safety of the family.
