Snow Riders was originally formed by a group of ronin who served with the Unciorn in the Winter of Red Snow, Moto Chagatai's failed winter campaign to seize the Imperial Throne. The ronin who survived the Lion's vengeance went on to sell their services as couriers, messengers, and general supplemental cavalry, all with a specialty in winter tactics. It was known they were hired in regular basis by the Yasuki family.
